Last January I have been invited by Daniel Hug and Moritz Kemper to give a one day workshop on Embodied Sonic Interactions to BA students of the Interaction Design course at ZHdK, University of Arts, Zurich . The workshop was part of a 2 weeks teaching activities organised by ZHdK for their module on Sonic Interaction Design, taught to students at their first experience with sound design.
Following the structure of the previous workshop at IRCAM, Parsons and Goldsmiths, I scaled the workshop from 3 days to 1. I enjoyed the students’ fresh approach to the topic, their energy and creativity during the ideation phase and impressed by the quality of the prototypes realised at the end of the day. Considering that many of the students were at their first experience with sound design and max/msp it was a considerable achievement in one single day!
